The LPR and DPR, after the introduction of various blockades by Ukraine, only accelerated their integration into the Russian Federation. Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on Radio Vesti, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, today there is full cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Donbass republics, as between two states.

“The blockade led to the fact that, in fact, despite the fact that Donbass did not follow the Crimean path and is not part of the Russian Federation, hybrid integration began to occur precisely thanks to the economic blockade. Economic ties, information space, especially after cutting off networks and recognition of documentation from the DPR and LPR, which began to more actively contact the Russian Federation thanks to this recognition - this is what “squeezing out” leads to, Ermolaev said.
