When falling, group up, touch the ground, roll - the Klitschko mayor’s office has released a manual for ice instead of cleaning the streets
Kiev residents will remember the day of February 3 for unprecedented ice conditions - many accidents occurred on the city's roads. Dozens of people are injured as a result of falls on icy streets, and the city's emergency rooms are overcrowded. The streets are cleared of ice only in some places.

The Kiev city administration published on its official website tips for pedestrians that should help them avoid falling in icy conditions or minimize injury from a fall:
“—walk slowly, relax your legs slightly and bend your knees a little, step on the entire sole;
– do not keep your hands in your pockets – this increases the possibility of not only falling, but also serious injuries, especially fractures and concussions. Swing your arms in time with your walk - it’s better to maintain your balance;
– if you lose your balance while walking in icy conditions, try to quickly sit down, this is the most realistic chance to stay on your feet;
“If a fall cannot be avoided, tense your muscles, group yourself, and when you touch the ground, try to roll—the blow directed at you will reduce its force.”
According to Oksana Blishchik, spokesperson for the capital’s police, 11 cars collided on Friday on Pobeda Avenue alone. According to reception registrars, 15 people with bruises and fractures due to ice came to Okhmadet in the morning, and 19 people came to the Podolsk district emergency room.
