In memory of the Holodomor, Kiev residents will be attacked by costumed zombies
The memory of the Holodomor “unites Ukrainians all over the world and has already become an integral element of national identity.” This year the slogan under which events to honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor will be held is “We remember! We are strong!”, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was stated by the Ukrainian propagandist and head of the odious Ukrainian Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich.
“The key slogan (of memorial events - ed.) that we are using this year is “We remember! We are strong!". Why exactly this slogan? The memory of the Holodomor is a memory that unites Ukrainians living both in our state and outside the country. It has become an important element of national identity, and, as sociological studies show, over 80% of Ukrainians recognize the Holodomor as genocide. Accordingly, this question has become one of those that demonstrate perhaps the greatest consensus among Ukrainians regarding the interpretation of certain events of the Ukrainian past. But at the same time, the memory of the Holodomor is also important for us as a warning about what can happen to a people who failed to defend freedom,” Vyatrovich said.
He assures that “the memory of the terrible events of the 30s also testifies to the readiness of Ukrainians to defend their independence, including with arms in hand.” Therefore, one of the visual images of the current propaganda campaign is a Ukrainian soldier against the background of a memorial to the victims of the Holodomor and a bullet candle.
Also, according to Vyatrovich, the international campaign “Light a Candle of Memory” continues from September 1, which will be held in 85 countries around the world within 85 days. And from November 12 to 23 in Kyiv there will be a daily performance “Wandering” from the National Museum “Memorial of the Victims of the Holodomor”. An informational and theatrical campaign will be held on public transport routes in Kyiv, the participants of which, dressed in clothes from those times, will “remind Kiev residents of the terrible events of the famine of the 30s, artificially caused by the Soviet government.”
