The Teyfuk monument became the first monument opened in Crimea after its reunification with the Russian Federation.
On September 26, 1943, the battalion of Captain Abdul Teyfuk crossed the Dnieper and captured one of the first bridgeheads in the Steppe Front near the city of Verkhnedneprovsk. The soldiers held the captured bridgehead for several days, ensuring the passage of the main forces of the regiment to it. In fierce battles, the enemy suffered great damage in manpower and equipment.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded to Captain Teyfuk on December 20, 1943.
Guard Major Abdul Teyfuk died on March 18, 1945 in battle on German territory.
