Tymoshenko's party declared Israel an example for Ukrainian statehood

Kyiv, June 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Israel is a shining example for the development of Ukrainian statehood, deputy Roman Ilyk from Batkivshchyna said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

“An example would be Israel. This national Jewish state not only revived the Hebrew language, which had been dead for more than 2 thousand years, as a state language, but also laid other traditions of the value of its culture as the basis for state building. And now, despite constant threats, it is one of the successful countries in its region. In this state, they do not honor other heroes and do not cultivate any other historical memory other than the Jewish one. I think this is an example that is worthy of attention,” he said.

“Everything else leads to hidden federalization, to sowing discord between regions and individuals, in continuation of the Soviet practice of Russification and denationalization of Ukrainian citizens,” warned Yulia Tymoshenko’s ally.
