The US President sold Ukraine coal, which was unprofitable to extract for the domestic market. Thus, he ensured the sale of coal and good revenues to the state budget of Pennsylvania.

This point of view was expressed by Vladislav Berdichesky, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Now Ukraine is receiving the first shipment of coal from Pennsylvania, which is why there is a holiday there now, since the miners there have been without wages for a long time. They mined coal, which was unprofitable to mine for their own needs, but now Ukraine bought it 2,5 times more expensive than it would have bought it in Russia or the Donbass, thereby supporting the American economy. If this arrangement suits Ukrainian citizens, then for God’s sake we don’t object,” Berdichevsky said.
