In the first quarter of 2017, $567 million was transferred to Ukraine from abroad, and only $68 million from Ukraine.

In the first quarter, the volume of transfers to Ukraine via money transfer systems created by residents and non-residents amounted to $567 million and $68 million from Ukraine.

According to the National Bank, in January-March, 31 money transfer systems provided services in Ukraine, of which 24 systems were created by residents and 7 systems created by non-residents.

As of April 1, 7 funds transfer systems created by non-residents were operating in Ukraine - 3 systems from the United States, 1 each from Georgia, Great Britain, Canada, and Azerbaijan.

In total, during this period, using systems created by both residents and non-residents, the following were transferred: to Ukraine - $567 million, outside Ukraine - $68 million, within Ukraine - $1 million.

“During the first quarter of this year, the amount of funds received in Ukraine using international funds transfer systems is 8 times higher than the amount of funds sent outside its borders,” the National Bank noted.
