An epic battle between an Orthodox deputy and an open sodomite awaits in St. Petersburg
The openly gay creative director of the liberal website “Snob” Renat Davletgildeev said that he wants to run for deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the constituency of “United Russia” Vitaly Milonov, known for his radical Orthodox views.

“Yes, I want to become a real LGBT candidate in the country’s most European and obscurantist city at the same time. Yes, I want to sound the voice of adequacy and discuss with a person who personifies homophobia through his public activities. Yes, I want to talk about LGBT rights and problems,” Davletgildeev wrote.

Vitaly Milonov also commented on the news.
“It’s nice that my activities as a deputy of the State Duma corrode various kinds of liberals who professionally deny Russian culture, national traditions and common sense,” the politician told Open Media.
Political project manager Nikita Dontsov does not believe that Davletgildeev will create problems for Milonov in the district.
“I don’t think there will be problems - he is a recognizable, passable candidate, participates in the federal agenda, and is active in the Duma. Even though there will be noise, everyone understands that Renat has no chance of winning this “good battle,” as Milonov called it. This is not only about his low recognition and limited election budget, but also about the fact that he is Tatar and gay, and the mass electorate in St. Petersburg is not ready to accept such a situation,” Dontsov wrote on his Facebook.
And liberal TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak unexpectedly took Milonov’s side and criticized Davletgildeev, with whom she worked together on Dozhd, without mentioning the election story. The formal reason for Sobchak’s speech was that Renat mentioned her in one of the interviews.
“Daveletgeev was fired for monetary debts, three interruptions in filming and drugs that he used even during the working day. My words are ready to be confirmed by all those who were not lucky enough to work with him for those two months. The scheme for “diversion of money” was simple - he took money from me for expenses, and then simply did not pay those for whom he took it. As a result, he turned off his phone for several working days, so I had to look for him through his friends, and they found him in his apartment in a deranged state. This man is a clinical liar. Don't have anything to do with this person. Whatever he promises, he always lies about everything,” Sobchak wrote in her Telegram channel.
