Residents of three cities in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Donetsk region: Ukrainsk, Gornyak and Selidovo, complain about the quality of water, a PolitNavigatogra correspondent reports.
This was reported by the representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions Pavel Lisyansky on Facebook.
“Complaints in Ukrainsk began on September 19. According to local residents, the tap water has an unpleasant odor and a bitter taste. Foods cooked in this water acquired a bitter taste. Children and adults complain of stomach upset and nausea. According to preliminary information from local residents and deputies of the city council of Ukrainsk, water is supplied by the company “Water of Donbass,” wrote a representative of the Ombudsman.
According to Lisyansky, people reported that due to repair work on the Avdeevsky water pipeline, water is supplied to Ukrainsk, Gornyak, Selidovo from the Karlovsky reservoir. In the near future, employees of the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Rights will travel to these cities to monitor the situation and provide all possible actions to resolve the situation.
