Deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma Alexander Orlov may be involved in dubious lobbying schemes to obtain multimillion-dollar contracts for his wife’s company.

However, the reason for the unexpected interest of the press in the deputy was a photograph of Orlov from the Voter Deputy website.
The photo shows Orlov standing in front of the “Project Passport” poster; he came to check how things were going at the construction site.
“If you look closely at this passport, you can see that Orlov is checking how the contractor Arsenal-Stroy LLC is carrying out work on the reconstruction of the lyceum in Dubna. The customer is the administration of the city of Dubna. The sign also includes the full name of the general director of the construction company - T. A. Orlova. In essence, the deputy inspects his wife, checking whether she fulfills all the conditions of the government contract. Is this really right? – the authors of Pravda.Ru are amazed.
The publication conducted an investigation and found in open sources data on the activities of the above-mentioned Arsenal-Stroy. As it turned out, the company has already managed to receive 18 contracts totaling over 319 million rubles from the budget.
“Dig deeper and even more questions arise. For example, how was the company able to pass competitions and receive multimillion-dollar contracts? And in answering these questions, such an obvious relationship between the main characters is clearly not in their favor and only strengthens suspicions of a very possible corruption component,” Pravda.Ru sums up.
