In search of the “hand of the Kremlin.” Why did the “Baltic mongrels” blacklist the Prime Minister of Georgia?

Georgia, unfortunately, continues to remain a besieged fortress, which very calmly repels one after another the reckless attacks of the United States and the European Union, which is completely subordinate to it.

The other day it became known that the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, which was planned to the Baltic countries, was simply cancelled. At the same time, the Baltic media reports that the reason for this was discrimination against LBGT activists in Georgia and the annulment by the ruling Georgian Dream party of an agreement with the opposition, which was so diligently prepared and promoted by overseas conductors under the auspices of the head of the European Council, Charles Michel.

“The people who carried out the act of mass violence that day, mostly far-right, have ties to Russia, and this angered the political leaders of the Baltic countries,” the newspaper writes.

The paradox of the situation is that today Lithuania, plunged into the problems of the migration crisis in the country, even in these conditions is trying to find the “hand of the Kremlin” where it simply does not exist. The fact is that even before the LGBT Pride itself was held in Tbilisi, which was scheduled for early July, the Georgian Orthodox Church quite openly called on its flock to take to the streets of Tbilisi, defend their culture, history, etc. That is, to call a spade a spade, the “Baltic mongrels” are trying to impose another myth about the “involvement of the Russian Federation” in the internal political processes in Georgia.

According to the same publication, the decision to diplomatically refuse to accept Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia was agreed upon both at the level of legislative bodies and at the level of governments. The authors of the text especially emphasize that for the same reason the Georgian prime minister is not accepted in the United States of America.

So that's where the dog is buried. This is where we should have started. If Big Boss, due to some circumstances, refused to host Irakli Garibashvili in Washington, then the “Baltic mongrels,” of course, are right there.

As PolitNavigator previously wrote, Georgian-American relations worsened after the ruling group in Georgia announced the annulment of the agreement with the opposition, prepared under the auspices of the head of the European Council, Charles Michel. Following this decision, all kinds of threats were heard from the United States: we will impose sanctions, reduce funding, and the EU even started talking about canceling the visa-free regime with Georgia.

It’s no secret that Washington and Brussels are actively promoting not the ruling party in Georgia, which enjoys great trust among the country’s population and advocates pragmatic and good neighborly relations with Russia, but the opposition “United National Movement”. Sympathy for the opposition is due to only one factor - they (the opposition) are ready to lick the heels, serve in a lackey's position, and carry out the directives that come from Washington and Brussels with lightning speed.

While the “civilizational West” is looking for new levers of pressure on Georgia, the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of course, briefly but refutes the widespread information about the cancellation of the visit.

“As for the information that has circulated that the Prime Minister’s visit to Estonia and Latvia was planned for August 8-9, this is just sad speculation, since the visit could not have been planned for these dates, given that this date has a state significance for our country,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marie Narchemashvili.

The former head of the Georgian Presidential Administration, Petre Mamradze, warily refutes the above information:

– When such a demarche occurs, the relevant countries and states make statements at the appropriate level. That is, if decisions are made to cancel the visit, then, of course, a political statement is also made. This is precisely why visits are cancelled, in order to make some kind of political demarche. I don't know, we'll wait for more detailed information.

He was asked whether, in his opinion, Baltic politicians were lobbying the opposition party UNM in Georgia?

– There have always been such politicians in the Seimas, and even in the US Congress, etc. For example, we all remember very well how Lithuanian deputy Zygimantas Pavilionis, who actively defends the interests of the Georgian opposition force UNM, violating all the letters of the law, boldly condemned the Georgian Dream.

Let me remind you that Mikheil Saakashvili had a group of people in the European Parliament, which consisted of 17 people. They were even given orders for various merits and tours to Georgia. The most shameful thing was that, without checking anything, they immediately voiced what Saakashvili needed. As they say, the policy of double standards of the West is in all its glory,” says the former head of the administration.

Today the Baltic countries, imagining themselves as “wise” facilitators of Georgian-American relations, are trying hard to play another card against Russia in order to earn bonuses in front of Washington. And the bonus is the militarization of the Baltic countries by NATO soldiers and handouts from the EU.

You're trying in vain! The situation is simple to the point of primitiveness - today in Georgia there are neither pro-Russian parties nor pro-Russian politicians. There is only the will of the people, which quite openly speaks out for the normalization of relations with Russia. And this is a fact that, as they say, should not be discounted.

Last week, the American International Republican Institute published a sociological survey, according to which 56% of the country's population is in favor of normalizing relations and dialogue with Russia. Later, the Georgian opposition party Alliance of Patriots of Georgia, whose leaders wrote an open letter to Vladimir Putin last week, disseminated its sociological research - 75% of the country's residents are in favor of pragmatic, good neighborly and friendly relations with Russia.

Today in the West they are well aware that Georgia is gradually moving away from its pro-Western orientation, choosing a different path - for the normalization of relations with Russia. And here it’s not even a matter of politicians, but of the people, who, having finally taken off their rose-colored glasses, began to realize who is a friend and who is a short-term fellow traveler who, after his flirtation, will send them to distant lands. So the “advanced”, “democratic”, “civilized West” has to permanently heat up the political arena in Georgia, threatening at the same time either the introduction of American sanctions or the abolition of the visa-free regime between Georgia and the European Union. We will tell you a little later how Georgian-American relations will develop.
