Poland warned: Ukraine with Bandera on its flag has no place in Europe
The ideology of Ukrainian nationalism adopted by official Kiev contradicts the European vector, writes former member of the European Parliament from Poland Pavel Kowal in the newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli.
“Polish-Ukrainian relations are going through the most difficult times since 1991,” he states.

“In Ukraine, part of the political circles wants to build the modern identity of the Ukrainian people, relying mainly on Bandera’s ideology. Today, as a rule, this is not directed against the Poles, but is of an anti-Russian, anti-communist nature. Tensions remain, but this may change. And first of all, we must take into account the following fact: in politics, perception decides a lot. And from a historical point of view, in Poland, Bandera’s ideology is perceived unambiguously - these are the murders of the Polish population in Volyn and Eastern Galicia. Consequently, Ukraine with Bandera on the flag will have guaranteed problems when joining Western structures - both the EU and NATO,” the Polish politician emphasizes.
