As long as Polish-Ukrainian relations are in the hands of nationalists, there will be no peace between the countries. Ex-President of Poland Alexander Kwasniewski stated this in an interview with TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, historical differences between countries should be resolved by the presidents of Poland and Ukraine, not nationalists.

“It will be a big mistake for the political leaders of our countries if the Polish-Ukrainian dialogue is in the hands of nationalists on both sides. Because then we will not find the answer to how to talk about history, we will not find ideas on how to create the future, how to organize cooperation between our countries. I would advise the leaders of our countries to start a serious dialogue about history,” Kwasniewski said.
