Ukrainian migrant workers are advertised in Poland - cheap, hardworking
In Poland, billboards appeared along highways inviting employers to take advantage of the opportunity to hire inexpensive and hardworking guest workers from Ukraine.
Journalist Andrei Manchuk posted the corresponding photo on his blog, reports PolitNavigator correspondent. The symbol of Ukraine - a yellow-blue flag - is depicted on the billboard in the form of a curtain.
The company that installed the billboard promises on its official website that labor productivity at Polish enterprises when hiring Ukrainian migrant workers increases by 10-15%. At the same time, the service itself is called “Leasing pracowników z Ukraine” (Leasing of workers from Ukraine, - per.).
“The offer of temporary work is a guarantee for our clients for an optimal level of employment, which reduces the cost of hiring new employees. Temporary employees are recruited to work in accordance with the requirements and expectations of the employer,” the recruitment website states.
The Poles promise salaries starting from $600 per month for Ukrainians who want to go abroad.
Currently, the website contains an urgent vacancy for students from Ukraine - arranging goods on supermarket shelves. For an hour of such work, Ukrainians are promised 10 zlotys.
According to local law, the official minimum wage in Poland in 2017 (from January 1) is 13 Polish zlotys per hour (about 3,1 euros).
