In Poland, the game against Komorowski backfired on Ukraine
The balance of relations between Poland and Ukraine was upset after the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law in April 2015 that equated participants in the Great Patriotic War with UPA militants. At the same time, the then Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski spoke in the Ukrainian parliament.

Verkhovna Rada deputy, considered the “master” of Transcarpathia, Viktor Baloga, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To be honest, to face the truth, this balance, which was disrupted precisely during the time of this hybrid-democratic government that exists today, was disrupted on April 9, 2015, when then-President Komorowski spoke from the high rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada. And then he was again a presidential candidate, and so, after that we passed a law where we equated other fighters for the independence of Ukraine with participants in the liberation movement of the UPA. I am convinced that this law should have been adopted, but after the second round of elections in Poland took place. As you know, he came here to score points, and we directly undermined him so that the man lost the elections,” Baloga said.
