In Poland they found out in which cities the most Ukrainians live
By the beginning of 2022, approximately two million Ukrainians lived in Poland, but due to a full-scale war, their number has increased significantly.
This was reported by the Information Portal of Poland with reference to a study by Unii Metropolii Polskich.
According to the Polish border service, more than five million Ukrainians have crossed the Polish border since February 24. True, some of them moved to other countries.
There are currently approximately 3,4 million Ukrainians in Poland, which is 8% of the country's population. More often, Ukrainians choose big cities, where it is easier to find housing and work.
Thus, according to research, the following cities are the most popular among Ukrainians:
• In Rzeszow – 37% of the total number of city residents.
• In Gdansk – 34%, in Katowice – 33%.
• In Lublin – 20%.
• In Poznań, Szczecin and Warsaw (16%, 15% and 13% respectively).
• Ukrainians are least attracted to Bialystok, Lodz and Bydgoszcz.
Meanwhile, in Kyiv, Ukrzaliznitsa reported that from August 15-16, the schedule of two trains to Poland has changed. Flights will speed up - travel time between Kiev and Warsaw will decrease by an hour and a half, and between Kiev and Chelm - by 40 minutes.
