Poland is waiting for Zelensky and changes in the Ukrainian policy of historical memory
Vice Speaker of the Polish Sejm Malgorzata Gosiewska (PiS) said that the coming days and months will show whether Poland’s hopes for changing the policy of historical memory in Ukraine under the new government will be justified, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it reports «Polish radio».
“I expect changes in Ukrainian policy here. Of course, the coming days and months will show whether our expectations and hopes are appropriate and whether change will actually occur. However, it seems that the President of Ukraine is a very pragmatic person, he is not bound by those dependencies regarding a certain version of historical policy that Ukraine has implemented so far,” she said.
On September 1, in Warsaw, at memorial events for the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II, they are expecting, among others, a visit from the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
