According to him, after watching the film, Ukrainians should think about whether it was worth exalting the UPA and its leaders Bandera and Shukhevych today.
“This will be a film that shows the Second World War through the prism of the Volyn village. But there will be one thing that will cause counterversions in Ukraine, and this is the greatest danger. This film shows that one hundred thousand civilians were killed under the banners of the UPA.
Moreover, very often these murders were accompanied by shouts of “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes.” This was the slogan of the UPA, but now it is almost sacred for Ukrainians. And after the film is shown, Ukrainians will be shocked.
But I think that this film should be shown in Ukraine and I hope that it will provoke an internal discussion among Ukrainians regarding the hasty glorification of the UPA,” Adamsky said.
