Poland is not going to forgive the Ukrainian nationalists guilty of organizing the Volyn massacre, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes in an article dedicated to the adoption by the Polish Sejm in the first reading of a resolution recognizing those events as genocide of the Polish population.

“At the beginning of June, a number of Ukrainian political and public figures made an appeal to the Poles in the spirit of “we forgive and ask for forgiveness,” the publication notes. – Contrary to expectations, this did not have the desired effect. By actions on the part of Ukraine, Polish politicians mean a refusal to glorify the UPA.

I ask and urge not to make heroes out of them, to revoke the criminal law that glorifies bandits, to destroy monuments that offend human conscience. I ask for real Polish-Ukrainian brotherhood,” RG quotes the call of Polish deputy Cornel Morawiecki during the discussion of the resolution in the Sejm.
