“I was just attacked. I'm at the eternal flame. Help,” Golnik wrote at 17:33 p.m.
Information about the attack was confirmed by the Poltava police.
They noted that the police received a report of the beating around 17:45 p.m. An investigative team is currently working at the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
As told publication Hromadske Poltava judge's husband Igor Gavrilenko, they were attacked in the park by two unknown men in hoods and masks. According to him, they did not try to rob them, but immediately began to beat them with pipes.
According to the publication, Gavrilenko’s legs were injured, and Larisa Golnik was taken by ambulance. She has a traumatic brain injury, a concussion, and a cut eyebrow.
