According to the Vpoltava publication, Poltava residents picketed the building of the regional military registration and enlistment office after the publication in the media of screenshots of the military commissar’s page on social networks, which demonstrated his pro-Russian views.
Chairman of the NGO “Public Control of Poltava Region” Andrey Khramov suggested that Boris Pavlov voluntarily resign his powers during the investigation.
He then attempted to hide from the picketers in his office, but activists prevented this.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuriy Bublik and Chairman of the Poltava Regional Council Petro Vorona with his deputy Vladimir Marchenko arrived at the scene of the event.
The deputies, together with Poltava residents, demanded that Pavlov resign his powers during the SBU inspection of his publications on the social network. Half an hour later, Boris Pavlov issued an order in which he transferred his powers to his deputy Anatoly Manzhos.
Representatives of the Poltava SBU, who arrived at the scene, promised to investigate the case as soon as possible.
