This was stated by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
“This man has been detained and is now giving evidence. And tomorrow (January 26 – editor’s note) this testimony will be made public so that the whole world will know who and how prepared and carried out the attack on civilians in Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
In turn, SBU Chairman Valentin Nalyvaichenko said that this man’s last name is Kirsanov, and his mother lives in Mariupol, so he has visited the city several times.
As PolitNavigator reported, official Kyiv accuses the DPR of shelling Mariupol, which led to the death of 30 people, injuries to 95 and massive destruction of infrastructure. In turn, the DPR speaks of a provocation on the part of the Ukrainian military and that the militias do not have the ability to carry out such artillery shelling of the city.
