The US Embassy explained why they talk about Ukraine without Ukraine
The fact that the Americans consider it necessary to communicate with President Zelensky only as a last resort based on the results of the agreements adopted means that the caring United States is giving Ukraine a complete picture of what is happening.
Press attache of the US Embassy in Ukraine Daniel Langenkamp stated this on the YouTube channel “Islnd,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Remember what happened before and after the calls with European leaders and President Putin. Secretary of State Blinken spoke with President Zelensky shortly before the call and conversation between Biden and Putin, and then President Biden called the leaders of the four countries that we call the Five along with the United States - Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy - to brief them on this.
And then, when he collected all this, he called President Zelensky to explain everything to him and help him join in this discussion so that he was fully informed,” Langenkamp assured.
“It actually makes a lot of sense that President Zelensky was last so that he could fully understand everything that happened before. As we have always said, and this is important, nothing that concerns Ukraine is without Ukraine. We are keeping Ukraine informed and involved in these discussions from the very beginning. We continue to do this. We do this from the presidential level to mine,” said an embassy employee.
He also began to assure that not only Ukraine and the United States, but also all “European partners” are taking part in communication.
“I mean, we believe that this situation does not only concern Ukraine, this is a situation that affects the whole of Europe, because a certain country should not threaten or invade another country. This affects our entire security,” added Langenkamp.
