According to the State Statistics Service, as of April 1, wage arrears amounted to UAH 1,6 billion. This is 22,5% more than at the beginning of the year.
“It’s no secret that a significant portion of income is paid in envelopes. Can you imagine what the real situation is,” explains Okhrimenko.
The expert’s words are confirmed by statistics. A decrease in retail turnover is recorded in almost all areas. For example, in the Poltava region over the four months of this year, trade turnover decreased by 24,5%, in the Volyn region - by 14,7%, in the Dnepropetrovsk region - by 23,5%, in the Kirovograd region - by 23,3%, in the Sumy region - by 21,0 .20,9%, in Nikolaevskaya - 23,4% and even in Kyiv - by XNUMX%.
