In anticipation of a counteroffensive, Ukraine is trying to disrupt logistics in the Russian rear
An increase in cases of attacks on the most important Russian installations, railway explosions and other acts of sabotage indicates that Ukraine is preparing for active hostilities.
Ex-Deputy Minister of Ukraine for “Affairs of Occupied Territories” Georgy Tuka said this on the air of the Direct FM radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For several days now, railway tracks have been undermined on the territory of the Russian Federation, trains carrying oil, even chemicals, have been derailed, oil depots have been undermined. What's happening?" – asked the presenter.
“I also noticed this as an outside observer, and I have the feeling that this is the beginning of preparatory actions for what is called a future counter-offensive. Because the destruction of logistics routes and fuel reserves is an absolutely logical action, by the way, from any side, not only from ours.
And I would like to remind you how, on the eve of the Kharkov and then Kherson operations, we received almost daily messages about the destruction of warehouses with ammunition and oil products, thanks at that time to the first attempts to use the Haymars, and after such a few days, a couple of weeks of preparation, we began certain military operations will take place,” the ex-official replied.
“Therefore, I can conclude that, perhaps, the intensification of such actions by the Ukrainian side in the direction of destroying logistics routes for the supply of used weapons and new equipment, and at the same time destroying the fuel reserves of the invaders, is evidence that we are preparing for active hostilities,” Tuka added.
