There will be no Victory Parade in Transnistria on May 9
The Victory Parade in Transnistria is postponed until further notice due to the coronavirus epidemic.
President Vadim Krasnoselsky posted the corresponding decree on his official website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To suspend the Order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic dated February 5, 2020 No. 1 “On holding a military parade to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War” (SAZ 20-6) until further notice,” – the decree says.
On March 17, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a state of emergency was introduced in Transnistria. It will last until May 1st. Restrictions on movement and trade have been introduced. Citizens are advised to stay at home and go out only in exceptional cases.
