Due to a sewer burst, houses on Shevchenko and Gymnazicheskaya streets were flooded.
As reported on the website of the Priluki City Council, rescue teams found the location of the explosion - it turned out to be at a depth of 14 meters in the sewer. 12 units of municipal special equipment were involved in eliminating the accident. Repair work continues around the clock.
“In the evening of the same day, work began to eliminate the accident on the self-priming sewer collector, the damaged section of which lies under Joasaph Square. Director of the Prilukiteplovodosnabzhenie KP Andrey Gavrish said that 12 units of special equipment and equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the work. Water is constantly being pumped out around the emergency area, so water supply in the city had to be temporarily stopped,” the message says.
The City Council noted that rescue teams are working around the clock, and all city utility companies, as well as caring residents of the city, help them in their work.
A video was published on social networks from the house of local resident Svetlana Petrenko, in whose garden a fountain of sewage formed due to a sewer break.
Earlier, local residents wrote on social networks that the city had been without water for several days, and the city authorities were ignoring calls to resolve the situation.
According to social media users, water in Pryluky is provided only in some areas and for a short period of time - from half an hour to three hours. In addition, it is most often rusty.
At the same time, the secretary of the Priluki City Council, Anatoly Shamray, said that water supply in the city would be restored in 2-3 days.
“It takes two to three days to supply water consistently, when we finally install the bypass lines. But the emergency well itself can take 10 days or more to repair, but this will not affect the state of water supply in the city,” the official said.
