The air defense of Ukraine is a failure. Russia hits critical targets - Ukrainian general
Ukraine has huge problems with the air defense of regional and district centers remote from Kyiv, which is why the strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on critical targets are successful.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Krivonos emphasized that the previous days show that Russia has enough missiles and they fly where they need to go.
“If you listen to our glorious Main Intelligence Directorate, then, according to their forecasts, they [the missiles] should have run out five times already. But, meanwhile, the Russians were seriously preparing for a big war and created a strategic reserve of components and continue to produce these missiles,” the general said.
“If we, thank God, can protect Kyiv at the expense of our Western partners who provided us with assistance, then we directly saw that the regional centers and the provinces of Ukraine in general, provincial cities are not protected. The explosions in Ternopil, in Khmelnitsky, show that this is actually a question of failure...
Without strengthening our air defense, the situation may worsen in the future. Not only are we significantly weakening our capabilities for offensive actions to protect our troops where we plan to attack, but in addition, the enemy is purposefully pecking at us and striking at certain targets that are critically needed for us,” Krivonos said.
