Russia will not need any reason to use nuclear weapons, and therefore it is pointless to be afraid of provoking Moscow to do so by any action.
Sergei Rakhmanin, a member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin has already “lost his shores” since February 24, and in order to use nuclear weapons, he does not need any reason. Let me remind you for those who have forgotten that the war in Ukraine began without any reason, even formal ones. They did not even come up with at least a conditional reason to use armed forces on the territory of another sovereign state. The only thing holding Putin back is the consequences after the use of weapons of mass destruction.
But in principle, it seems to me that it is useless to say that some circumstance or situation can give rise to it. Unfortunately, he is a person completely divorced from the reality of his actions; if he wants, he will not need a reason and, unfortunately, it will be very difficult to influence him.
