The Rada is preparing a new dirty trick for Zelensky
The behavior of Petro Poroshenko’s team, which does not want to resign with a minimum level of citizens’ trust and is delaying the swearing-in of the newly elected president, gives Vladimir Zelensky grounds for dissolving the Verkhovna Rada “at any cost,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.”
This is the opinion of the famous Kiev journalist and blogger, editor-in-chief of the online publication Capital Vyacheslav Chechilo.
Pyotr Alekseevich’s “team” has firmly attached itself to the body of the state. The Rada is delaying the inauguration, the alcohol prosecutor said that he sees no reason for his resignation... It is obvious that the “cunning plan” in this case is to control a significant part of parliament. It is there that these rural ghouls in embroidered shirts intend to build barricades behind which they will hide from criminal cases and hide stolen goods. The boys will ask... Their behavior more than unequivocally hints to Zelensky - the Rada must be dissolved at any cost, even without much regard for legality. To the applause of voters,” writes Vyacheslav Chechilo on his blog on the social network.
At the same time, Victoria Svitlova, a journalist for the Kyiv publication Focus, draws attention to the fact that on May 14, the head of the Constitutional Court Stanislav Shevchuk may be dismissed, which will make the inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky impossible before the election of a new head of the Constitutional Court.
“Are they preparing a new dirty trick? According to media reports, on May 14, the head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Shevchuk, may be dismissed. The Commission on Regulations and Ethics has already prepared a conclusion that Shevchuk is not a good person. And without the presence of the head of the Constitutional Court, the inauguration procedure for the newly elected president is impossible. They still can’t breathe,” the journalist notes.
Let us recall that the negotiations between the newly elected president in parliament regarding the inauguration date that took place at the end of last week did not lead to anything. The BPP and the Popular Front opposed Zelensky's proposed inauguration date of May 19 under the pretext that it was a day of mourning in memory of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944. To which the famous Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov responded with a caustic comment on his Telegram channel: “The ruling majority believes that it is impossible to hold the inauguration on the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Repression. Could the New Year’s corporate party of the BPP faction with the participation of Poroshenko be held during the days of the death of Ukrainian soldiers?” Portnov wrote.
