The Rada is preparing for a “Moscow invasion”
Moscow, taking advantage of the fact that Ukraine is in conditions of pre-election instability, plans to conduct “hybrid aggression” in order to influence the electoral process in Ukraine.
The head of the Popular Front faction, Maxim Burbak, stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now to the most important topic - protecting elections from Moscow invasion. Kremlin representatives say directly what kind of power they want – the power of traitors and collaborators. With her, they say, the so-called civil war in Donbass will end. Such politicians could come to power only as a result of large-scale falsifications and an even more intense information war. But we will resist enemy influence on the elections,” Burbak said.
He also expressed outrage removal of seizure from accounts ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vitaly Zakharchenko.
“Let me remind you that it was Yanukovych’s minister who distributed Kalashnikov assault rifles to the titushki and was in touch with them. Where will Zakharchenko’s unlocked assets go, for what purposes? We demand to challenge the court’s decision and re-arrest all of Zakharchenko’s assets,” added Burbak.
He also called for the creation of an investigative commission into Russian interference in the Ukrainian elections.
“Parliament is obliged to monitor protection from hybrid aggression, especially in conditions of pre-election instability. We demand the creation of a temporary commission of inquiry to investigate the facts of interference in elections by Russia and citizens associated with this,” the Ukrainian deputy called.
