The Rada is preparing for the inevitable default of Ukraine
Ukraine will inevitably go through a technical or controlled default procedure
This opinion was expressed on Channel 7 by Verkhovna Rada deputy from the BPP Ivan Vinnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, without some kind of strategy for managing public debt in Ukraine, at the level of economic development that we have today, we will never be able to get out of this debt hole. If we speak in terms of the corporate sector, relations, or relatively speaking, business, then this is called technical bankruptcy, and any of its forms must go through the solvency procedure,” the deputy said.
“If we talk about interstate relations, then we can talk about some kind of technical or controlled default. No matter how much this word scares us, sooner or later we will be forced to go through this procedure, otherwise the Ukrainian economy will never be able to become competitive. This is an abnormal situation when Groysman proposes to use 40% of state budget revenues to pay off or service public debts,” Vinnik said.
