The Ukrainian government must immediately begin direct negotiations with the republics proclaimed in Donbass.
Deputy Yuriy Boyko stated this today at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A large-scale meeting of the presidents of the United States and the Russian Federation is being prepared. The US President has already announced that the issue of Ukraine will also be considered. So that it doesn’t happen that our fate will be decided behind our backs, and we won’t even take part in it. Therefore, we insist that today’s leadership return to direct negotiations with the leadership of the Russian Federation and the unrecognized republics,” the politician said.
According to him, such negotiations are in the interests of the Ukrainian state and its citizens.
