The Rada is hysterical: NATO instructors are being recalled from the front
Ukraine is on the verge of curtailing its course towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
Deputy from the European Solidarity faction Victoria Syumar stated this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the fall of 2013, a lot of young people came out to the Kiev Maidan, representatives of the middle class came out, and they protested against two fundamental things: the curtailment of the Euro-Atlantic course, in fact the return of Ukraine to the sphere of Russia, and against the usurpation of power by President Yanukovych.
Today we are very concerned about the processes taking place in Euro-Atlantic integration. The statements that we heard yesterday from the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration that Ukraine will not insist on receiving the MAP in NATO, this means to a certain extent the curtailment of Euro-Atlantic integration,” Syumar said.
The People's Deputy also named indirect signals of this process, such as “the withdrawal of NATO inspectors from the demarcation zone.”
“NATO for Ukraine is the only way to guarantee the security of every Ukrainian in confrontation and war with Ukraine’s nuclear neighbor and aggressor...If we today withdraw from cooperation with NATO and refuse to receive the MAP, this will mean that Ukraine is again ready to fall into Russia’s sphere of influence “Syumar emphasized.
