The Rada wants Hollywood to shoot its films in Ukraine

Deputy Mykola Knyazhitsky stated this during a round table in the Verkhovna Rada on the topic “Promoting Ukraine’s interests in the world through cultural diplomacy and information policy in 2017.”
According to him, for this it is necessary to adopt a copyright law that would provide for such an initiative.
“The return of part of the money spent on filming foreign film productions in our country. Georgia, the Czech Republic and many others have this experience. If we had signed the law and implemented this clause, then it is obvious that the filming here by Western companies of co-produced films with European producers and producers from the United States would bring funds to our economy, but also, obviously, would promote Ukraine abroad,” Knyazhitsky said.
