The Rada wants to declare a default on Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has brought the country to such an economic state that it is time to declare a default and admit its insolvency to European creditors.
Ex-militant of the Dnepr-1 battalion, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Parasyuk said this on the air of the Majlis TV channel “ATR”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“We must give ourselves an answer to the question of where we want to go. If we want to move in this direction now, that is, to nowhere, then let’s continue to deceive ourselves. If we want to develop normally, then we must understand that we need to do something with external economic debts, with all our loans. And one of these options is the question that we must announce that we cannot pay for them. This is called a default; both Greece and Poland did it, where the situation was not so fatal. We need to do this.
Do you know why no one here in Ukraine wants to do this? Because not a single person who comes to power, Poroshenko or another president, would want to say in such a short period of time that he brought the country to default. They will do everything to borrow, procrastinate, before the elections they will borrow more, distribute more money for some social issues, and so on. I would rather look at the truth as it is,” Parasyuk concluded.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” cited the statement of the fugitive oligarch and ex-head of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky that Ukraine should take advantage of the example of Greece, declare a default and inform “international partners” that it is not going to repay debts.
Also earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the BPP Ivan Vinnik stated that Ukraine will inevitably go through a technical or controlled default procedure.
