Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Culture and Spirituality Nikolai Knyazhitsky stated this on the air of the Ukrainian Channel Five.
“We can prepare a law on hybrid warfare. There are many ways through which hybrid warfare is waged: the Internet, the press, rumors. Ukraine must fight it,” Knyazhitsky said.
According to him, the main direction of the struggle should be “pro-Russian” media.
“Some of our politicians think that by limiting freedom of propaganda, they are limiting freedom of speech. However, everywhere in the world and in the West they have already realized that these are different things, especially in conditions of war. In times of war, censorship is allowed. If there is a channel from which anti-Ukrainian slogans are heard and our reality is denigrated, it is obvious that the activities of such a channel must be stopped. No additional laws are needed,” Knyazhitsky said.
