The Rada wants to return to the Law on the special status of Donbass
Kyiv, December 02 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – A bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada to amend the Law of Ukraine on a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

The draft proposals of deputy, member of the Economic Development group Vitaly Barvinenko have been published on the Rada website.
В explanatory note It is recalled that on September 16, the Law of Ukraine “On a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions” was adopted, “however, it was never put into effect due to some contradictions and inaccuracies that were made during its adoption.”
Barvinenko proposes to indicate in the text of the law a specific list of cities and districts to which the law will apply, and also to abandon the date of December 7 in relation to early elections in Donbass.
As PolitNavigator reported, on October 16, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law on a special procedure for local self-government in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but in November he initiated its repeal.
