The Rada stated that Ukraine is on the verge of total chaos and financial death
If Ukraine does not urgently solve the problem huge foreign debt, then in the near future this country will face financial death.
This was stated by MP from the Batkivshchyna faction Sergei Sobolev during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the government does not resolve the issue of huge external debt, then in 2022 and 2023 we will find ourselves in a situation of total financial chaos...
How can one draw up a financial plan for the state, if it is clear that without external loans, which turned into, in fact, a borrow-and-give transit. The economy receives zero financial resources, the social sphere suffers,” he said.
Sergei Sobolev also emphasized that this cannot continue this way, and hinted at the possibility of an early resignation of the current government.
“Therefore, the key question is what to do with debt restructuring? Unfortunately, the current situation is just a delay in financial death. What's next?
The country cannot live in conditions where it relies solely on loans that we cannot repay ahead of schedule, even if the state begins to manage the economy normally. Think about it - you cannot repay debts ahead of schedule, even if there is economic growth. How could such agreements be signed?
And the government is silent. The previous government was silent and resigned. The next government found itself in exactly the same situation,” the deputy added.
