The Rada is indignant: EU money goes to Russia, but Ukraine gets nothing
Support for Nord Stream 2 and European investment in Russia means that European money goes to Russia, not Ukraine.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Integration of the Verkhovna Rada Maria Ionova stated this at the XNUMXnd Interparliamentary Conference “Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: strengthening the interparliamentary component of regional and security cooperation and developing interaction with the EU and NATO,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We want the EU-US relationship to be working, to stop the aggression. Unfortunately, we see Nord Stream 2, we see investments from large European countries in Russia. The latest example is that $2,62 million was invested. At the same time, we hear from European friends: “Oh, you know, first reforms, then money.” Sometimes it’s difficult to understand that we must carry out reforms, and at the same time money goes to Russia,” Ionova was indignant.
