A new record in the Rada: A deputy acquired a handbag worth tens of thousands of dollars
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Doverie group Larisa Bilozir came to the parliament meeting with a handbag that costs fabulous money.
Parliamentary correspondent Anna Steshenko spoke about this in her blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Fortune in hand” Bilozir demonstrated to the world on September 1, at the opening of a new session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation.
“In the hands of Hermès Kelly, the cost of which starts at $10.000. But to purchase such a bag, as you know, you need to wait several years. However, if you really want it, you can order a used one for 10.572 euros. By the way, as Forbes reported, last year it was Hermès bags that were named in the list of very profitable investments.
Prices for these pre-owned bags are rising every year. In the last ten years alone, by 108%. The most expensive bag sold at auction last year, a worn Kelly from Hermès in the Himalaya Niloticus Retourne colorway, went under the hammer for HK$1,875 million ($241),” Steshko wrote.
She emphasized that today this is the most expensive bag of a deputy in this convocation.
“By the way, she never included this “fortune on hand” in her declaration for the last few years. The average salary of a people's deputy is 40.000 UAH. And, yes, don’t be jealous, just live with it!” – the journalist added.
Let us note that Larisa Bilozir was elected as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation in electoral district No. 15 (Vinnytsia region) as a non-party self-nominated candidate, but is a member of the “Trust” parliamentary group, which supports the “Servant of the People” vote on most issues. He is also a member of the Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning. Before working in the Rada, in 2015 she was a deputy of the Vinnytsia Regional Council of the 7th convocation from the BPP in district No. 48
