About this in an interview with “Crimea. Realities” (Radio Liberty project) said Ukrainian propagandist, Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmitry Tymchuk.
“I have no doubt that Crimea will return to Ukraine, the question is the timing and methods of return. Under the current occupation, Crimea is not so much a disappointment as it is pain, because the occupiers are sucking everything they can out of the peninsula. The water blockade by Ukraine - and, alas, there is no alternative to it - leads to the fact that in 2-3 years the groundwater of Crimea will be saline and unsuitable for use. And when agriculture will be restored in Crimea is probably a matter of decades. The same goes for other infrastructure. We may end up with a “killed” peninsula. If in 2014 it was quite independent in economic and financial terms, then after de-occupation Crimea will become a serious challenge for the Ukrainian economy,” Tymchuk said.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv they recognized that people live better in Crimea than in Ukraine, and urged to do everything possible to worsen the lives of Crimeans.
