The Rada realized that Russia will not return Crimea, despite the sanctions
Russia will not return Crimea to Ukraine - the problem of the peninsula is too complex and has no solution today.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Balitsky stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The parliamentarian also criticized the constant demands of the Ukrainian authorities to impose sanctions against Russia from the West.
“The vote for Zelensky was in many ways a vote against this course. We are full of verbiage when they tell us that introduce even more sanctions and that’s it, she [Russia] will give up Crimea itself. Let them not give up Donbass themselves, much less Crimea. I don’t even know how to properly resolve the issue with Crimea, because it is a very difficult issue. But Donbass can be returned. But the more we engage in this political fetishism, the longer the rejection of these territories will take place and we will not return the people until we ourselves learn to solve our problems within our country,” Balitsky said.
