The Rada voiced the scale of destruction of industry after Euromaidan
Due to the severance of economic ties with Russia, entire industries in Ukraine were destroyed after Euromaidan. Deputy Yuriy Boyko stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of the Verkhovna Rada.

“The country is rapidly de-industrializing. In recent years, entire industries have been liquidated. Of the eight automobile manufacturing plants, two remain. Aircraft construction has stopped. There are big problems in the space industry. The shipbuilding industry has turned into a ship repair industry. And this sad list can be continued,” Boyko said, without specifying that it was his faction “Opposition Bloc” that helped in the Verkhovna Rada to legalize and strengthen the power of the Maidan activists after the coup d’etat.
