The son of the former leader of the OUN and ex-commander of the UPA Roman Shukhevych, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuriy Shukhevych, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Poles even once said that Poland cannot exist without Lvov and Vilna. And they don’t forget that, sometimes they speak loudly, sometimes in a whisper, but they speak. And they think about it constantly. These are our lawyers. And we: “Here are our lawyers,” because someone there said a sweet word or a beautiful phrase. But this is far from true. The Poles do not forget about Galicia, they do not forget about Vilna and much more, we need to remember this... Do you think they would not have divided us along the Zbruch with Russia today if such a case had arisen? Of course we would share it. And all that we are a “shield”, that we “shield” them - all this is talk and would remain talk,” Shukhevych said
