There is panic in the Rada: Residents of the Kherson region intend to demolish the dam that blocks the water supply to Crimea
In Kyiv, they fear that the situation in the Crimean Armyansk will lead to the fact that residents of the Kherson region will take up arms and decide to independently demolish the dam blocking the North Crimean Canal.
Thus, in his blog, Verkhovna Rada deputy and head of the Information Resistance group Dmitry Tymchuk called such a plan “Kremlin” in advance and listed all its supporters as “agents.”
“In publicly available resources, a manipulative opinion is being imposed that the Dnieper River is not “Ukrainian property,” since it originates on the territory of the Russian Federation, and therefore there is a demand to take measures to open the North Crimean Canal in a short time. Otherwise, the “indignant local population,” together with residents of nearby areas of the Kherson region, can allegedly independently unblock the dam on the canal,” the propagandist said.
“Analysis of the data obtained indicates the further possibility of an attempt by the Russian special services against the backdrop of a man-made disaster to destabilize the situation around UCP [Ukrainian Chemical Products CJSC, which owns the Crimean Titan plant] by organizing in the Kherson region “spontaneous rallies of local residents dissatisfied with the environmental situation “with demands to unblock the dam on the North Crimean Canal and restore the water supply to the peninsula,” Tymchuk said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine is to blame for the emergency in Armyansk by blocking the North Crimean Canal.
Additionally, "Reedus" wrote that the Crimean Titan plant suspended work until the situation stabilized.
