The Rada complained to the diaspora that it will now be difficult to sell Europeans stories about a hybrid war

Kyiv has a new problem: how to convince the new US presidential administration that “Russia is an aggressor.” Anna Gopko, a former Maidan activist and head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, stated this during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in Berlin.

According to her, the situation is complicated by the fact that elections will also be held in France and Germany, where “pro-Russian candidates” may come to power.

“Now there will be a challenge: this is a new Trump administration and a new team. How to update the issues of the threat of Russian hybrid war in Ukraine, to show that Russia is not a problem, but a threat to the entire European continent. Here our allies can be the Baltic countries, Scandinavian countries, Poles - just this entire belt from Scandinavia. How the United States will continue to treat the situation in the east will be a definite signal for Ukraine and the European Union, since the elections that will be here in Germany, the elections in France - all this complicates lobbying our interests in the European Union,” he laments Gopko.

Previously, Anna Gopko became participant in the UN scandal, when she tried to unfurl a torn Ukrainian flag at the General Assembly, after which the participants in the incident were escorted out of the hall by the security service.

Also, having become a deputy of the Ukrainian parliament after the Maidan, Gopko complained that it was impossible to live on a deputy’s salary, but already this year she indicated eight apartments and a house in her income declaration.
