Kyiv, April 09 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Representatives of the Party of Regions - deputies Alexander Efremov and Nestor Shufrich - presented in the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on amnesty for participants in the pro-Russian uprising in Kharkov, Lugansk and Donetsk.

“We give people in Donetsk and Lugansk the opportunity to leave the buildings and not be afraid that they will be persecuted,” Shufrich explained.

“There is no other way to resolve this conflict. We must do everything to ensure that no one gets hurt,” he believes.

“An anti-terrorist operation means that there are armed people on both sides. We must look for ways to avoid shedding blood,” Efremov added.

However, such an initiative caused indignation among Kyiv journalists.

“What moral right do you have to compare students from the Maidan with separatists who are splitting the country?” – one of the Ukrainian journalists shouted in response.
