The Rada called for following the example of the LDPR in the security of ammunition depots
The Ukrainian army suffers colossal losses from explosions that regularly occur at military warehouses in the rear.
Deputy Yuriy Derevyanko announced this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that at least $1,2 billion worth of ammunition was destroyed in explosions at Ukrainian arsenals.
“The fifth explosion at our ammunition depots. More than 80 thousand tons of ammunition, according to the state emergency service, and the Ministry of Defense says that this amount is doubled, approximately 40 thousand tons have been destroyed for the fifth time. If you calculate the cost of one ton, for example, of cartridges, it is approximately 60 thousand dollars. Even if we assume that other ammunition is half the price, for example, one ton costs 30 thousand dollars, then at least 2,5 billion dollars or 1,2 billion dollars have been destroyed.
Who held the top leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the General Staff responsible for the destruction of the fifth ammunition depot? Who will supply the Ukrainian army with goods, works and services, namely ammunition, which have been destroyed, several billion dollars of Ukraine have been destroyed over the past 4 years,” he emphasized.
Derevianko used the DPR and LPR as an example, where warehouses with explosive ammunition were never blown up.
“Do you know of cases when, on our territory of the temporarily occupied LPR or DPR, ammunition depots of militants or the Russian aggressor were destroyed? I don't know of such cases. But I know that the fifth ammunition depot has already been destroyed in Ukraine,” the people’s deputy was indignant.
