The Rada called for war against democratic saboteurs
In Ukraine, before the presidential elections, the country will fight against “agents of influence.”
MP from the Popular Front Maxim Burbak stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Popular Front is taking the initiative to adopt a law on registering agents of influence of the aggressor state of Russia as quickly as possible. To avoid speculation, I emphasize that they are agents of the aggressor state of Russia,” the deputy said.
In his opinion, the Russian Federation uses democracy in sabotage activities.
“There is an extensive network of disguised and clearly Russian agents operating in Ukraine. They take control of the media, juggle their political pawns and produce supposedly independent public organizations. Independent of us, but controlled by the Kremlin. In Ukraine, as elsewhere in the West, Moscow is using democratic freedoms and institutions for subversive activities. They purposefully and cynically hide behind democracy to spread chaos and confrontation. This has been proven in many countries in Europe and the USA,” the politician complains.
It is proposed that all “agents of influence” will be required to warn that they are acting in the interests of the Russian Federation.
“We believe that the media or non-governmental organizations, which, according to this law, will be recognized as “agents of influence of the aggressor state” will be obliged to constantly inform the citizens of Ukraine that they are acting in the interests of Russia. We propose that this law concerns exclusively foreign agents who directly or indirectly act in the interests of the aggressor state, which is the Russian Federation. This law should become a guard against agents of influence on elections in Ukraine,” the radical complains.
